Hitting down on the ball may be a difficult thing to visualize, but one way to think about it is to picture yourself on the slope of a hill hitting the ball. Your body stance will naturally be focused forward throughout that golf swing, and hitting down on the ball just means that you'll be adding more power to that swing!
